I started playing chess at the ripe young age of 33.The game had always intrigued me from afar, but it finally found me at a dark time in my life and has since brought a lot of joy, community, and many blunders. I’m proud to volunteer my time and support RVA Pieces as a staff photographer.

RVA Pieces is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, that exists to foster a thriving environment and active community for casual and competitive chess in Richmond VA, as well as provide access to stellar chess education for everyone, regardless of age or skill level.
