Anna and Petko is an ongoing project (2018-?)

In this project titled Anna & Petko, I retrace the steps of my grandparents after WWII escaping incredible hardships in their homelands in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria to eventually where they met and fell in love in Germany. Working from a bountiful archive of pictures and oral histories, I create a new narrative of my own while walking through these same paths, while weaving in their images into the work.
